Plagiarism Policy
GPEIJ does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Before peer review, every manuscript is screened with anti-plagiarism software to safeguard the integrity of published work.
What counts as plagiarism
- Copying text, data, figures, or ideas from other sources without proper citation.
- Republishing substantial parts of one's own published work without citation (self-plagiarism or duplicate publication).
- Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time.
How it is handled
- Before review: manuscripts with substantial unattributed overlap are returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
- After publication: confirmed plagiarism leads to retraction of the article following the COPE guidelines, and the authors' institutions may be informed.
Authors are responsible for the originality of their submissions and for citing all sources correctly.
